Terms and Conditions

    The following Terms and Conditions apply to the sale of tickets (including any resale or subsequent assignment). Further, they form the conditions of attendance of EB Expo 2017.

  1. The EB Expo is classified as an MA15+ event.

    Tickets cannot be purchased by customers under the age of 15. A parent or guardian can purchase a ticket for the minor and themselves if accompanying the minor during the event.
    Guests under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with a valid ticket at all times when entering and residing inside the EB Expo precinct. The police may be called if a child is found unaccompanied inside the EB Expo precinct.
    The Expo will also feature R18+ restricted content that is accessible by people 18 or over only.
    All guests will be age checked when entering the event.
    Guests aged 15 years or older will be given an MA15+ wristband that will allow them to access MA15+ content.
    Guests aged 18 years or older will be given an R18+ wristband that will allow them access to restricted R18+ content.
    Guests under the age of 15 will receive no wristband and will not be able to access restricted content.

  1. No refunds on any ticket except as required by law.

    A guest may exchange their ticket for another session as long as the alternative session has tickets available for sale. In the event that no tickets are available for the alternative session choice or any other session a refund is not available – except as required by law.

  1. Children 10 years and under are not required to purchase an entry ticket but must remain accompanied by an adult at all times.

    All other guests must have a valid entry ticket. Guests found to have illegally gained access to EB Expo will be removed from the precinct.

  1. The organisers of EB Expo reserve the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute exhibitors, product and/or vary advertised programs, prices, venues, seating arrangements and audience capacity.

  1. Tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Tickets should be treated as cash.

  1. A guest’s entry to EB Expo is subject to the terms of admission set by Gold Coast Convention & Exhibtion Centre

    Bottles, cans, weapons, lasers, illicit drugs and alcohol are prohibited items and will not be permitted into the venue. Prohibited items that are confiscated will not be returned. Guests must wear appropriate clothing and footwear at all times.

    Please note there is a restricted capacity within the Arena and other areas of the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre. Once the maximum capacity is reached in these areas there will be no further admissions. Your purchase of an event ticket does not guarantee admission to these areas.

    The following items are not permitted inside the Arena:

  • Hot food
  • Hot drinks
  • Glass
  • Cans
  • Guests found to be acting inappropriately or unruly will be removed from EB Expo without the right to a refund.

    Guests caught stealing will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

  1. EB Games and Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damages sustained while entering or within the venue whether caused by the negligence of the promoter, owner, licensee or otherwise.

  1. Cameras, audio and video recorders are permitted inside EB Expo. However, the organisers of EB Expo and exhibitors reserve the right to restrict photography and filming of content at their own discretion. EB Games reserves the right to search a person’s recording device to censor any photographs or recordings of restricted content.

  1. As members of the audience, guests consent to filming and sound recordings. Such imagery can be used for marketing purposes by EB Games.

  1. It may be a condition of admission that a search of person and/or their possessions may be required at the time of entry to the venue.

  1. Security will be present inside the EB Expo precinct, exhibition hall and EB Arena. Any guest found to be acting unruly or inappropriately will be removed from the event.

  1. Entry may be refused if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way, or if the ticket appears to not be a genuine EB Expo ticket.

  1. Scalping warning: The resale of tickets in certain circumstances is governed by ticket sales legislation and may attract criminal penalties. Please see NSW Fair Trading Legislation for more details.

  1. Tickets may be resold or auctioned but for no more than the original ticket purchase price. Tickets found being sold or auctioned higher than the original ticket purchase price will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
