John Robertson - Host
John Robertson is a comedian, YouTuber, TV host and creator of live gaming comedy show The Dark Room. He lives in the U.K and tours the world getting paid to shout nonsense at people.
The Dark Room has been called “one of the funniest and most enjoyable evenings you can have” (The Sun), “a triumph” (Herald Sun) and “the future of gaming” (Ron Gilbert, creator of Monkey Island.) The game online has racked up over 4,000,000 views on YouTube and 250,000 players in one day on Twitch.
From 2014 - 2016, he hosted U.K game review show Videogame Nation.
Taigakunn – Judge
Taigakunn kicked off her cosplay career in 2012. Since then, she has taken “Best in Show” at Smash in 2014, and more importantly had heaps of fun cosplaying fan-favourites from League of Legends, Fire Emblem, The Legend of Zelda, Monster Hunter and more.
More recently, she has earned the title of NSW Finalist for the Madman National Cosplay Championship.
A.K WIRRU – Judge
A.K WIRRU is a veteran of the international Cosplay scene, and has made appearances in Spain, Denmark, Paris and the UK. He has a stack of awards to his name, including Madman National Cosplay champion in 2010. WIRRU also represented Australia at the World Cosplay Summit in 2012.
WIRRU has been an EB Expo judge for the last five years, and this year will be his first time at a Gold Coast EB Expo!
Vera Chimera – Judge
Vera has over ten years of experience judging, hosting and participating in cosplay conventions, both locally in internationally. She has also worked with some titans of the gaming industry, with Blizzard using her Tracer cosplay as part of the local Overwatch launch and appearing as the live-action actress for Lilith from the Borderlands series!
When she isn’t crafting incredible costumes, Vera enjoys riding motorcyles, or chilling out with some tea and cheesecake.
